“Essentialism is not about how to get more things done; it’s about how to get the right things done. It doesn’t mean just doing less for the sake of less either. It is about making the wisest possible investment of your time and energy in order to operate at our highest point of contribution by doing only what is essential.”
— Greg McKeown, Essentialism

I struggle with too many choices every day. This seems to get worse whenever I have too much to do. Unless I'm in crazy-panic mode, I have a tendency to pile on projects and to-dos to feel like I'm "useful". What has been striking to me lately is that those things that are actually profitable (financially, educationally or creatively) are a shockingly small part of my week. My new goal is to reduce the excess to focus more on the activities and people who are important to me.
