The "Phantom Thread" Soundtrack is Just the Thing For Your Inner Perfectionist


If only I could play more than just Chopsticks on the Piano...

I spent the afternoon listening to the soundtrack for "Phantom Thread" which is probably one of the most beautiful combined pieces of music I've heard in a long while. I have yet to see the movie, but the music is wonderfully ornate, complex and accessible. 

The composer Jonny Greenwood, better known as the guitarist for Radiohead, composed the pieces to reflect classical pieces of the era. Much of the album is reminiscent of Glenn Gould's Goldberg Variations, which was released within a few years of the film's setting.
