What I Do for a Living - Biometrics

Biometrics - /biō’metriks/ - Biometrics is the measurement and statistical analysis of people's unique physical and behavioral characteristics. The technology is mainly used for identification and access control, or for identifying individuals who are under surveillance. The basic premise of biometric authentication is that every person can be accurately identified by his or her intrinsic physical or behavioral traits.

Somewhere along the line, I got good at writing about how certain types of technology can be used to keep us safe. This week, I'm trying to outline a series branded training materials for a multi-modal biometric system (ie. "reading your face and fingerprints at the same time"). I've been talking to engineers a lot today. It's all very interesting but now I'm... tired.
