Thoroughly Thursday - the "Slovenija" Edition

Welcome back to Thoroughly Thursday, the Slovenija Edition. My family and I have been in Slovenia since Saturday evening. My wife’s parents emigrated to the United States from Slovenia in the 1960’s and so this week we were able to introduce our girls to dozens of aunts, uncles, and cousins that live in both the countryside and the local cities. Slovenia may have been impoverished years ago, but they are becoming a premier tourist destination of Europe, which means even the farmers drive Audis and BMWs.

Normally, I would share books, movies or audio treasures that I have found over the week. However, this week has been filled with constant travel, gatherings, and long conversations in foriegn languages supplemented with various hand signals. I have barely listened/read/watched anything beyond a tourist sign or welcome message for 9 days. Instead I welcome you to catch up with my daily exploits in Europe.

All the best, and remember, tomorrow is Friday. :)

P.P.S. “Slovenija” is the proper spelling of the country in the Solvenian language.

P.P.P.S. I'm always on the lookout for new items to write about. If you notice something that you think would be worth sharing, send it my way.
